The main business income of Hebei’s electronic information industry reached 293.87 billion Chinese yuan, up 16.8% year-on-year in 2022. Among them, the main business income of the manufacturing industry was 220.37 billion Chinese yuan, accounting for 75%, with a year-on-year increase of 19.1%. The main business income of the software industry was 73.49 billion Chinese yuan, accounting for 25%, up 10.3% year-on-year. There were 207 thousand employees, up 4.6% year-on-year.

From the perspective of major industries, new display, semiconductor and other industries have achieved rapid growth benefiting from market demand and scale efficiency, of which the main business income of new display industry has reached 26.28 billion Chinese yuan, up 19.2% year-on-year. The main business income of the semiconductor industry was 2.28 billion Chinese yuan, up 21.9% year-on-year. The main business income of the information technology service industry was 49.12 billion Chinese yuan, up 16.4% year-on-year.

Economic benefits have increased steadily. Throughout the year, the province’s electronic information industry achieved 2,805 billion Chinese yuan in profits and taxes, up 23.3% year-on-year. Among them, the profit and tax of manufacturing industry reached 20.99 billion Chinese yuan, up 40.6% year-on-year. The profit of the whole industry was 20.23 billion Chinese yuan, up 27.7% year-on-year.

Foreign exchange earnings from exports maintained a rapid growth. In the whole year, the province’s electronic information industry exported 4.47 billion US dollars, up 18.2% year-on-year. Among them, manufacturing exports earned 4.42 billion US dollars, up 20.1% year-on-year.
